Leopards Already Eating Faces
How long will the Donald Trump / Elon Musk relationship last?
Last week, Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris to become the president-elect for the role of 47th president of the United States. One pivotal person to help him bring home that victory was Elon Musk. Musk, CEO of Tesla and 19th best Diablo 4 player in the world, spent millions of dollars on illegal lotteries, questionable door-knocking schemes, and boosting fake news on the social media website that he owns.
As we all know, that means that he’s in the good graces of the president-elect. He’s going to co-run an advisory committee called “Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)” to help strip the country of unnecessary oversight.
One thing for certain, though, is Donald Trump’s loyalty only goes so far. His attorney, Rudy Giuliani, reportedly can’t even purchase groceries. His former vice president, Mike Pence, wouldn’t endorse him this year because the former (and future) president wanted him hung from the gallows on the National Mall.
Folks all over social media believe that this relationship with Musk is different because in reality Musk is playing 4-dimensional chess and using the leader of the free world for his gains.
That’s laughable.
The relationship might even be starting to unravel now, and it’s only been a bit over a week since the election.
Several publications, including The Hill, are reporting that President-elect Trump today mentioned to Republican leadership that Elon Musk keeps hanging around and could be overstaying his welcome. He was, after all, even in the election family photo.
“Elon won’t go home. I can’t get rid of him. Until I don’t like him.” (emphasis mine)
After Trump’s Nazi-inspired MAGA rally at MSG before the election, Trump loyalists declared that the GOP has found its sense of humor, so it’s very possible that Trump was just trying to tell a funny joke the way that Elon Musk tells a funny joke.
But most humor is often based in truth, and it might be that Trump is already starting to grow weary of his supporter who jumps around like a “dipshit” at his rallies, and is someone that Trump calls a “boring weirdo” even before the election. It also appears that Musk is trying to convince Trump that Trump is indebted to him for helping him win the election.
It doesn’t work that way, hoss. Not with Donald J. Trump.
